Newport Borough Brass, a traditional British brass band, rehearses at it’s purpose designed band room in Newport YMCA, Mendalgief Road, Newport, on Monday evenings from 7.00 to 9.00pm and on Thursday evenings from 7.00 to 9.00pm.

An all-age beginners and juniors training session is held on Monday evenings from 6.00 to 7.00pm. How to find us.

We are always pleased to welcome new members, no matter how good they are. Many new adults are parents of junior musicians and have never played a brass instrument in their lives. Then they catch the bug and quite often become talented instrumentalists. If you would like to try, come along and have a chat; we are always willing to help. If however, you are an experienced brass player, then please come and meet us.

You will be made especially welcome and please note: Newport Borough Brass Band is committed to equal opportunities policy and practice.  Therefore, we will ensure that all members and service users, both actual and potential, are treated equally and as individuals regardless of age, disability, ethnic or national origin, gender, marital or parental status, political belief, race, religion or sexual orientation.

Newport Borough Brass Band is also supported by the Welsh Amateur Music Federation (WAMF).

For further details regarding membership of Newport Borough Brass Band or band engagements, telephone the Secretary Olive Horton on 01633 667086 or contact us here.
