NEWPORT BOROUGH TRAINING BAND:

Newport Borough Training Band always love to welcome new members, of any age or ability. Join us for help and tuition, as well as ensemble playing in a relaxed and enjoyable learner band environment.

The Training Band made its contest debut in November 2018, at the SEWBBA Autumn Festival, where they came away with no less than 4 prizes! These included: Youngest Player, Youngest Tuba Player, Best Solo Cornet and an overall Bronze Award for the band's performance! Congratulations!

We meet on a Monday evening from 17:30 - 18:30 pm, with rehearsals lead by two members of the main band. We can provide tuition in a relaxed, enjoyable band environment to help develop your playing. Our members range from primary school age to adults and we are able to provide an instrument too if required.
