2019 WELSH LEAGUE 2ND SECTION CHAMPIONS:

On Saturday November 23rd, the band attended their final contest of the year, in hope of retaining their title as 2nd Section Welsh League Champions. Having performed a brand new entertainment set, expertly put together by Musical Director Robin Hackett, there was a huge amount to celebrate at the results ceremony! Not only did we win Best Instrumentalist (Amy Hackett - Flugelhorn) and Best Trombones, we also managed to achieve 1st Place (our 4th 1st Place of 2019!) and retain our title as 2nd Section Welsh League Champions! Robin too was awarded Conductor of the Year by the SEWBBA Committee! A huge thank you to not only Robin, and members of the band for your consistent hard work throughout the year, but also to everyone who has supported us and continues to support us on our musical journey as we progress through the rankings.

2019 has been the band's most successful year ever, and our last in 2nd Section. We can't wait for all the new challenges that 1st Section will bring in 2020!
